Welbeck

I invade the Arsenal board once a fortnight slagging Danny off. But now I'm almost missing him. His strike rate as a lone striker is every thing I thought it would be. Poor, very poor. Though he has assisted well at times, something that just didn't hapoen at United.

But he's always available, has an unquestionable work ethic and most of all isn't perennially injured. I would take him back but he'll only ever be a replacement imo

Stret, have you just invented the word 'solidating'? Top work...

You're spot on about the timetable as well.

Is that picking up girls on-line from Solihull?

Count me in.

solidating is a real word.......look it up. Pretty sure it is anyway.

You do have me doubting myself now but I'm sure it is.

The timetable thing would be correct if we were dealing with pennies being spent but in reality we've spent £150 million and have a manager who has won trophies at the biggest clubs.

We need to be challenging next season for the title. Not necessarily winning it but remember Liverpool last season? A slip away from winning it and that was with an awful defence.

With the money spent and the manager we have we really have to be challenging for the title next year.

I don't care if it's real or not, it's ace.

No offence.....but football doesn't work like that.

For us to compete with Chelsea next season (and when i say compete i mean really compete) will take some doing and that's being kind.

They are stronger than us all over the pitch and they are not a club who will staay still either. You can guarantee they will further improve over next 2 windows.

We're poor at the back, better in midfield than we have been but still not good enough for me and you have to believe that our main forwards are on the slide too.

I think it would take another £150m to finish above Chelsea next season. We are 4pts closer to Burnley currently. Table doesn't lie.

All depends on 2 things.

1) If we can get a player like Reus in the summer. That would give us a devastating front 4. (Rooney, Falcao, reus, Di Maria.

2) Whether or not we can sort out the defence this season. If we can get some defenders fit and regularly playing then we will have a solid base.

We're really not that far from Chelsea. We just need a full pre-season with LVG and the players as well as Falcao to hit his stride.

Both Arsenal & United are already stronger than Chelsea offensively - on paper.

They need to improve defensively, both teams need a new CB, and keep the injury situation in-hand. Chelsea have the best manager when it comes to defensive tactics and that's what United & Arsenal have to sort out.

For me Welbeck will always be just a squad player nothing else, funny how a few of the Arsenal fans are creaming themselves over him.

in his early years but he had a change of pace at least.

To say he hasn't had a change of pace this season is, quite frankly, ridiculous. He's clearly changed from slow to slower.
