Cech to Arsenal for £7m

Ok it's in The Sun and I think it's bull but how would you feel if this were to. Happen and what is a fair fee?

Can't see Wenger spending £7m on a back up to Szczesny.

We're a bigger club than Arsenal now.

We didn't give you Ba because we saw you lot as our rivals last season, be it for the title or the top 4 finish. Not anymore. So can see Cech going there, a lot more than £7mill though (although he may be in his last year of contract next summer, so maybe that fee makes sense). I would like to see Cech stay in this league. However I think a move abroad, PSG or R Madrid, would be the natural option to pursuit.

Would be an excellent and needed move if it came abt.

Fee is a tad short but feasible, but the destination is anything but feasible. Even suspending your disbelief regarding Cech's going there, there's no chance Wenger would spend 7mil on a keeper. It's been his blind spot since he came to England, a refusal to believe that a good keeper is worth dipping into the kitty for.

You'd expect a bit more planning out of these obviously fabricated rumours sometimes.

I can picture it now....jose and wenger meet in a disused car park...jose has a 6'3" bloke with a blanket over his head...wengy hands over £7m in a holdall both part company with their part of the bargain

Wengy uncovers his new buy to find we've actually sold them Marc Schwarzer with a note on him

note says....Seriously... £7m for Cech...you french mug

Cech is still worth £20 million, he's one of the top five keepers in the world and still relatively young, just because he's Chelsea number 2 shouldn't mean he is underestimated, he is a top, top keeper, the second best in the league for me.

That said I think the club would allow him to leave for closer to £12 million to allow Cech his choice of club rather than holding out for the highest bidder.
