The following statement was made to the stock exchange:
The statement read: "The Company announces that Alastair McCoist, manager of the first team squad, has resigned.
"His service contract dated 28 December 2010, which was subsequently amended, has a 12 month notice period ("Notice Period").
"The Directors will hold discussions with Mr McCoist to seek an amicable solution in the best interests of the Company, and expect to be in a position to make a further announcement before the end of the week.
"During the Notice Period, Mr McCoist's salary will increase significantly to £750,000 per annum."
£750,000 for the next year
I think a compromise will be made this week if McCoist takes a massive cut. I don't see the board paying anymore than £400,000 to get rid of him and his coaching staff.
This could drag on if McCoist digs his heels
Rangers really are a shambles right now but perhaps this is a step in the right direction
Morning everyone

Ally McCoist's notice begins

Again Curly, this is where the fact you take the things I say so personally that you revert to personal attacks when they are not neccessary....I DO NOT attack you personally on these boards otehr than in retaliation to you constantly giving it the season ticket line
"It is YOU who lambasts potential investors for not investing THEIR money into the club"....I attack Dave King for leading fans up the garden path publicly by talking plenty and doing fck all, and trying to get fans to do his dirty work...I DONT tell you or any other fan how they should spend their money.
"It is YOU who tells ST holders on here that if they do not invest THEIR money into the club and it goes into admin that it will be THEIR fault"......I put forward the idea that a boycott might not be the best idea, and that it may bring admin on altogether or bring it on a lot quicker than no boycott would, so I say that I hope those who do decide to boycott know what the consequneces might be, thats all I say.......at the end of the day, I DONT tell people what to do with their money, it is their choice and they are free to make it, all I ask for is the reasoning behind it and ask questions
"It is YOU who is now slaughtering Ally for (allegedly) looking for his contractual right of a pay off and not giving HIS money into the club".....Ally needs to go asap, the longer he stays, the longer the club suffers. I AM NOT slating the man for taking money from the club, I just want him gone as soon as possible, and I would like to think he will realise this himself, as somehow who has cared about nothing other than the football side for the past 3 years, he must realise that prolonging his stay will hurt the only thing he has concentrated his efforts on for so long, thats all I criticise over, he needs to go now, arguing over a pay off helps no-one.
Now you can continue to take every single point I make personally with that great big chip on your shoulder and revert back wth "your no a season ticket holder so you've no right" if you want, but I wont stop me putting my opinion forward, which I am well within my rights to do on a public forum such as this.
I am not trying to have things both ways.
I put what I can into the club, but i have other priorities and they come first.
The only people I slate are those who say certain things are theIr top priority, yet their actions appear to show something different.
I dont know how often it has been said that Dave King is a guy who would do things with the clubs best interests at heart....well waiting until he can pick the club up at its cheapest hasnt been the best thing for the club the whole tiem he has beenon the scene in my eyes, its the best thing for his pocket and thats all its good for, and if he said that, same way as I say spending my money on family comes before buyign a season ticket, I'd have no issue with the man.
As for Ally, as said above, he loves the club and has dedicated the past three years to the football side. He has gave his all, but he has to go. He is a $hite manager and its the fact he is a $hite manager that he even has to go. If he doesnt realise that prolonging his stay will damage the football side more than is needed, purely to stick one to the baord or argue over a pay off, thats all I will slate the man for, its not about the money, its about the length of time it could take the man to just get out of the club when its needed.

That, in my opinion, makes YOU a hypocrite of the highest order
------------
I think that's harsh Curly. Just because someone doesn't have the means to do something it doesn't mean they can't suggest what should be done. It doesnt make them a hypocrite.

i understand curly's point
thousands upon thousands of Rangers fans have loyally pumped their money into Rangers only to see it all pi$$ed down the drain
some have decided enough is enough and I refuse to judge them
its easy to be cavalier and insist what others do with their money

SDF
I can totally understand Curly's point too.
What Curly fails to take in is, I am not telling him what to do with his money, and I dont put him down for doing other things than attending Rangers matches.....but he does this to me because he disagrees entirely with my viewpoint over Ally, Ashley and the boycotts.
The further point to that is, Curly has no idea just how much money I have put into Rangers over the course of my lifetime, and continually says I put fck all in just becoz I dont have a season ticket...which is completely unfounded, false and unfair.
I'm not saying anything remotely close to what he is saying to me on a consistent basis
