After watching him yesterday, he looked good against Sheffield Wednesday but he doesn't have the pace etc for the Premier League anymore

Emo def does not have the legs for the prem that is why Salgado has kept him out of the team for so long.....

A bit surprised to see him go, have a been a critic of his non-threatening style at times but he does put it in and when you play Salgado at the back sometimes having Emo in front of him who will track back is good to bring out again the better left wingers in the league....i recall Lennon against Spurs at home last year when Lennon swapped sides and targetted Salgado in every attack! And I don't think Hoilet offers that.

Also surprised Ribeiro did not start or at least get a game! Not sure why he would sign him if he is not even going top get a run out against a league 1 teams reserves.

Hopefully he'll play v Everton.
