If the rumoured team is true and gerrard is back in, it makes a mockery of this "meritocracy" that rodgers goes on about.
Yes, technically, gerrard is still probably our best player, but to disrupt our midfield after winning so comprehensively, is suicide.
We need momentum and chopping and changing the side to accommodate our captain is not right.
It is not a tiredness thing as henderson will likely be moved to wing back so it can only be that rodgers is scared of dropping him.
after his anonymous performance against burnley, he should wait his turn to get back in the side.
its time rodgers started using players in their best positions.
manquillo and moreno are our best fullbacks...play them

I'd argue Henderson cannot play RWB, doesn't seem to thrive off that position. It would have been a position ready made for Glen Johnson before he forgot how to kick or control a football.
Manquillo and Moreno should remain at wing back, id drop Henderson and put Lucas and Gerrard in midfield with the usual three ahead of them. Maybe Markovic over Coutinho or Lallana to freshen it up a bit.

Its called player management. Use the squad its what they were bought for. Id stick in markovic and gerrard with toure and maybe even balo or lambert.

Spot on Lucas, I couldn't agree more. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Hendo in the middle is the future. Both Manquillo and Moreno are there too. Player management includes having the cajones to stick with the players who are winning. If he's got to play our skipper, start him on the bench.

All the Hendo fan boys wetting their pants at Gerrard playing ahead of him make me laugh.
It wasn't Hendo nominated for player of the year last year. It wasn't Hendo who had the leading assists and the 2nd leading goals from midfield.
Neither player has had a great season this year. Hendo has done ok for assists but not earth-shatteringly good.
Gerrard was the best player on the pitch against today's opponents only a month ago.
