It isn't as if Man Yure have recalled him to play for them is it.

Marosi will play at Bristol City.
Rules forbid us bringing in a replacement keeper for the replay.

I cannot help wondering why he could not have stayed on till Wednesday morning. All parties would have been aware of tomorrow's fixture and PNE have no game till the weekend. It would have been a kind gesture all round for him to have stayed till after that game. As it is we will have no keeper on the bench unless the youth team player can be chosen.
It leaves rather a sour taste.

I agree, Donaldo; Sam is cup-tied with the Rovers and so wherever he was going, the only risk for ManU of him playing tomorrow was a chance of injury. In the interview on Player, I thought PD was remarkably polite about it, but you could see he was somewhat p----d off.
I remember a cup game in the mid-1950s at Bristol Rovers when we dropped Ken Hardwick and played Harry Gregg who had just had a terrible game in the Division 2. We drew and won (I think) the replay on a snowy night and Ken never really got his place back except when Harry was playing for N. Ireland. Maybe young Marosi will grab the same opportunity in Bristol.

xon - with one notable exception you and i think the same things all too often.
When i read all the info put out on the internet it looked to me like he could have done the decent thing and turned out for us tonight.
This shows how important it is to have a regular first choice keeper on the books and not on loan.
It is the one key position in the team that can't be covered properly.

I reckon the goalie he's looking at is Nicky Weaver.
Played with Dickov at Man City. Helped get Sheff Wed out of league one. Just a guess mind you.

He's a free agent as well. So no problem signing. No money to splash out, board will be happy!

I wouldn't be too disappointed if it was Weaver.
