No for me, that's too much to pay for a squad player

I cant see us signing anyone else in this window to be honest.
I think LVG will stick to what he's got.

Good player but £25M would be better off spent elsewhere.

I would've said yes without hesitation to the signing of Schneiderlin in the summer before we signed Blind and the previous summer too before we signed Fellaini.

He's been one of Southampton's most consistent and stand-out players since they were promoted in 2012.

Although I do think midfield is still a concern, now that we have Herrera and Blind, it's not as much of a concern as it once was however this is taking into account Herrera starting games on a regular basis which at the moment for some reason he's not doing.

Strootman it feels like is only a matter of when and not if and if we are still dead-set on signing Strootman, then there's no need for us to sign Schneiderlin.

Schneiderlin be perfect for Arsenal or Liverpool but for us he'll be just another defensive holding midfielder,in which we've got 2 adapt capable players in Blind and Carrick.

More box-to-box than a DM. Great player but like others say not essential.

I would love us to play 2 box-to-box CMs though much like Saints do with Schneiderlin and Wanyama and Dortmund did so well with Gundogan and Bender.
