What a night for Scottish football!

What a night!

Broadcast live into the homes of hundreds of thousands we witnessed a game abandoned because nobody bothered to turn on the under soil heating. The conditions were actually improving but the officials decided to call it off 25mins in.

I like thousands of others had difficulty in actually following the ball because it was a pale yellow colour and not the standard orange we see in such conditions. Apparently Rangers dont have any orange balls and they only have one yellow ball, so the game was at risk of being abandoned due to a puncture. Outrageous. The groundstaff didn't help either by refusing to sweep the pitch and just go over the outline of the markings.

Not alone that we witnessed an angry mob jostling with stewards attempting to break into ibrox. The old songbook was also broadcast loud and clear into thousands of homes throughout many countries.

After the game there were attacks on supporters and on buses.

What an advert for Scottish football

For a minute I thought that was a video of me trying to get back into the admiral at the Xmas nite out

Shocking stuff though, I am all for protest but it has to be non violent.

A few arseholes gives you all a bad name, same goes for us and every other club

Where did the snow go on Hamilton's pitch?

Did we no have 50p for the under soil heating last night.

They should have let the 600 protestors run about the pitch to clear it.

Some Rangers fans are angry, and can you blame them?

Fighting with hearts simply proves we have moved on and are not sectarian.

Sadly, when bhoys comment about bears violence or results or finances, and vice versa,it is done as a wum,or a dig,and any time bears mention Celtic fans being naughty,we are told it was only a few bhoys etc,and all clubs have this problem.................some balance please.Or at least let us wind yeez up too.

Fek,Hamilton nearly scored.

Hey 'Chu'......

Just where did I mention anything about the orange balls comment having anything to to do with religion?

As usual it's typical of Celtic fans like you to bring that aspect into it. I was simply commenting on the fact that the whole thing is another example of an incident being blown all out of proportion by the usual Rangers-haters.

Nobody in their right mind would condone anything like what was described in the story and if indeed people, regardless of age, gender (ja606 doesn't allow the 3 letter version ), or religion for that matter, were assaulted or threatened
in any way, then the moronic perpetrators involved should be identified and severly dealt with. Protests should always be non-violent no matter what.

Regardless of how serious or not these incidents were, it certainly doesn't bode well for next month's Old Firm game and the situation will certainly not be enhanced any by the likes of you and I or others like us, 'coming to blows' in a literary sense. I fervently hope I am wrong but I fear the match and all it entails will indeed end up being a poor advert for Scottish football and the fault will lie not merely with one or the other sides involved, but with everything that is wrong with the game north of Hadrian's Wall.

You have your way if seeing things and I have mine. I firmly believe that on the Celtic side, there are a large number of bigots and prejudiced minds that hate all things Rangers and will do anything, say anything and falsely report anything that will blacken the name of the club I support. And I reserve the right to stand and speak out whenever I can and wherever I am when I see that happening.
