Appears he has pulled the trigger again. Time to go? The club have been led in an increasingly shoddy manner season on season and is it becoming clear that Forest will never get anywhere with him. Should do the honourable thing and step away just like Doughty did when he realised that he had taken the club as far as he could. Appreciate all his investment and enthusiasm but feel it is now time for a clean break and a fresh start for this club.

Morning chaps
Morning Rev
Talk of 'getting rid' of Fawaz is premature. He might be a fan, but he is primarily a businessman (or at least his family is a business family). As such, he will still see the glitter of the Premier League as a major opportunity to at least get a return on his investment.
He possibly underestimated the task - this isn't a league where throwing money at it guarantees success - and I think that if he was going to cut his losses and run, that would have been after BD II, The Revenge.

That's aimed at 2w. He's suggesting we should be looking to find local people to invest in the club. It's a different scenario though as they was in a situation back then where their owners were ripping the club apart financially and have since been jailed for it.
Ours is that there is concerns over his management of the club and is making iffy decisions on managers. Realistically we got back a year or two and some of Derby's fans weren't happy on investment and management but their owners are still there.
Maybe it will come to a point where a good chunk of our fans want Fawaz gone but we're not there yet. It's not the easiest thing in the world for fans to find interested parties, I guess if/when we get to a point there may be possible interested parties that come out of it.
We had Doughty before when it came clear the club was in trouble, he was reluctant to take control initially if you recall

I personally can't wait for that point to come. It really can't come soon enough.

My original point wasn't to compare clubs, personally I think Derby fans would be at the point a long time ago with Fawaz, but I can't really speak for the collective, money can blind people.
All I can say is if my club had Fawaz in charge I would be very worried and probably voice my crtiticisms loudly, I'd try and bring people together or join people that were already together and see if there's owt we could do. Sucking up to local bosses wouldn't be my cup of tea but it seems like Fawaz is a bit of a megalomaniac and at some point there'll have to be contingency plans.
Fan power can make a difference and so can fan apathy. You seem to scoff at the thought of the little man standing up for his club Ray whilst the big man carries on making a mockery of it.

2W, some still make excuses for every misdemeanour. I don't know what else he needs to do to prove he isn't up to it.

I agree Will I feel your pain, there is the possibility if he goes then the club goes with him (don't know enough to know if this is true) but there's also the strong evidence to suggest that if he stays the club will go down with him too. Which is why I'd be trying to work out alternatives to save my club.
At the very least make some demands of him, like removing himself as chairman of the club, employing the right people and letting them get on with it.

He has tried to employ the right people like Faulkner but appears incapable of having a meaningful working relationship with them.

One problem with the situation to date 2w, is that we seemed up the proverbial when Doughty died. Generally fans are worried we won't get the interest needed and are relying on our current rich owner to provide support. Now for me having a CEO in place from September assured me a little and it may be fingers in ears and blind hope, I was seeing how that would work out. The guy seemed switched on but on the back of this fiasco he's resigned, with the suggestion it's not the only issue that's undermining his role. So we're back as this one man band, probably be late with bills again, have recruited a manager with a questionable record, in an embargo and goodness knows what will happen in remainder of transfer window.
Fans will turn, but there are many still strongly arguing a Fawaz defence. I've even seen one say that we might have a new CEO lined up (based on nothing).

Fans were on to him about a CEO and suggesting he let's people run things without meddling. Even the element of Forest related press have. We've just turned into a dead again.
Not only have we sacked Pearce (which is not the surprise) but we've destroyed most of the work behind the scenes to rebuild. It beggars belief.
At this rate my kids won't have a club to support when they get old enough

I guess we will have to wait a while for a Fawaz tweet too...
