It would have been very difficult, nigh impossible for the powers that be in the States to justify any kind of offensive in the middle east without 9/11. It also turned out Iraq had no WMDs and were not even close to having one. Basically 9/11 put the fear of the lord in everyone.

People have no trouble believing a Black or Arab dictator killing his own citizens. A middle-aged white man in a suit doing it is impossible.

There's terrorist attacks in Africa and the Middle-East on a near-daily basis. When that happens, I have no problem believing they are terrorist attacks and certainly don't point the finger at the "Black or Arab dictator".

absofeckinglutely spot on. Also, I think placing blame where it should be placed is the first step in making sure history does not keep repeating itself.

This whole Yemen thing....does it not strike you as strange that the US are essentially on the same side as ISIS there, and by extension, against Iran who back the Houthis, while in Iraq the US is on the side backed by Iran (Shi'ite militia), against ISIS?

Blaming the West is not going to solve the problems all across Arab lands.
