Saw this on the BBC's site:

I don't disagree with anything he says really, he had little choice with sacking Stuart Pearce, he regrets threatening to leave and expected to be higher up the table after all the money spent in the Summer, and our record over the last 25 games or so forced his hand.
As pointed out by Super_Psycho, here's Fawaz's statement on the official site too:

Worth reading.

SRamdini - yes, he seems a decent bloke. Lots of passion. But little skill in his job unfortunately.
Left Post - if you actually even look at my comment, I said that lots of that 70 million was probably spent on things we didn't need to spend money on. Can't be bothered to repeat every word. You can scroll up. Also, he shouldn't have spent that much. Because he did, we're under embargo.
I would question an awful lot of his decisions and actions as many other people do. These include sacking SOD, employing Billy, letting Billy and JIm Price drag the name of the club through the mud, employing a CEO and then not letting him do his job, sacking numerous staff members on more than one occasion, paying silly wages to Abdoun and Djebbour and probably (although this one's conjecture) being the main person behind them coming to the club, not keeping an eye on our finances and maintaining a healthy balance, not paying bills on time, having us brought before the courts on numerous occasions, sacking a manager and employing a new one on deadline day, failing to meet agreements with other clubs, tweeting that he was about to leave the club, tweeting at all, choosing and sacking his managers because of fan pressure, etc etc. I could go on.

It's a list that doesn't make for pretty reading that's For sure. Got no problem with him investing so heavily. Had he taken advice from people who have an idea of how English football works, I daresay he wouldnt have had invest as much as that! That's the annoying think about it all. There will be several club owners shaking their heads ruefully at the goings on with the Al Hasawis.

They will also be wondering what they could've achieved with similar levels of investment. I daresay most wouldn't have seen themselves being 12th in the Championship after three years.

Can anyone tell me how Bournemouth can spend millions on players, get tiny crowds and yet avoid FFP sanctions? They had losses of £15 million recently, so what gives?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They've only really spent in the last year and a half and not at the levels that Fawaz has. With the FFP rule change with losses taken over three years they may not fall foul.

Does anyone realise that we got Rafik on loan initially with a view to buy, it didn't work out and so we not only would have paid the fee but ended off paying off a chunk of his contract?
That's one example of a waste of money. No wonder it's somewhere over £20m considering pay offs as well. Ok he's chucked a lot of money at the club but how much has actually benefit have we had?

We paid a £1m for Hobbs because we didn't properly nail that down

Yes, plenty of people have had a chunk of the millions without having to really work for it. If only there was a CEO in place to prevent that kind of wastage...

The comment that jumped out for me is where left post said that Fawaz is trying to get the right people in place

Even IF he can get another CEO quickly will they be allowed to do their job? A few things on here are a concern to say the least
