I actually believe that Monaco will beat us at home too.

Not because they have better players but as they are organised, disciplined, and tactically intelligent.

Everything we are not

Fack it, my mindset going into the match is that we can do it. Don't care how badly they spanked us, they aren't good. We know what needs to be done and I think we can do it.

We CAN do it

"..if you see Ozil and Welbeck in the starting lineup, then forget it."

So just to be clear about this, you think that we've still got a chance of winning the league, yet start Özil and Welbeck in a game we have to win by 3 goals and we've no chance?

As to my thoughts on our chances of progressing... apparently, based on historical results, we've a 1.5% chance of overturning such a deficit from a home leg.

Forgive me for playing safe - hey, someone has to eh, Arsene? - but I predict another night of glorious European failure for Arsenal.

0:2.

Lex

Would say the chance of winning the title is about 1.5%

I actually think we will finish 2nd. I fail to see your issue with the point about Welbeck and Ozil or what relation it has to believing we still have an albeit very slim chance of the title.

Ozil has gone back to being deadweight and hampering the team and Welbeck is the second option whatever position he is playing in. Neither player has any business being on the pitch for a game where we need probably 4 goals against the best defence in the competition.

By all means replace Theo with Welbeck once the job's done but Walcott has to start. We've lost the luxury of bringing him on late for impact due to needing too many goals.

Just so you know, the 2nd or slim title chance imo could be achieved without Mesut Ozil playing much at all (injuries permitting). He's a liability and will cost us games if Wenger continues to start him without lighting a big fire under him

The No group to be proven wrong today?

Monaco are average, if we're honest. Arsenal could easily win this game by the margin necessary- but those who are so downbeat now will be proclaiming Arsenal contenders for the trophy if they actually do overcome the deficit.
