So it was our fault that Newcastle were relegated.
I’ve read this rubbish before from another Newcastle ‘fan’, who clearly wasn’t at the game, either. The banter was 2 ways, Carver. We were receiving plenty of stick that season, and during that game, particularly about our failure to qualify for Champions League. But we don’t blame any of the other teams for our inadequacies.

If we lose tomorrow and end up getting relegated, Sunderland will be guaranteed Premier League survival. Who would they prefer to send down? He'll probably be bleating on, when they play Sunderland in a few weeks, about how the Sunderland fans upset him every time they win at St James's.

Does he need to stoop to this level to drum up support?
