I'm A (Knee) Jerk.... (LvGs Prezzer, Yo?)

It's fair to say I had a mini-meltdown after the defeat to Swansea. I said some things that I only partially meant about LvG (and 10/11 of the United squad) and - more regrettably - went as far as selling my ticket for Newcastle away tomorrow night (something I am majorly regretting right now)... Not to mention filtering half a dozen United posters...

In approximately 1 hour, old Jowly will be sitting in front of the media - hopefully without a booklet full of drawings - to talk about philosophy and the sort of rubbish that us mere mortals clearly 'just don't get.'

Defeat tomorrow will probably end our top 4 chances. In our upcoming games we are up against Spurs, Liverpool, Chelsea, City and Arsenal (not to mention a few tough games against likely relegation battlers).

I think we'll be lucky to take 10 points from our next 10 games, but a convincing result tomorrow might (finally) give us some momentum going into a tricky fixture against Spurs.

So what can we expect from LvG today? Excuses? More soon-to-be-foot-in-mouth comments akin to his 'last time we played Swansea we didn't have x, y and z; this time will be different?'

What about your expectations for the game tomorrow? Defeat? Last gasp Fellaini header for the draw? Convincing defeat? Unlucky draw?

Line up?

Will we make top 4?

I've been more baffled by LVG decisions than I ever was with SAF.Yes Fergie made some odd decisions but the spine and nucleas of the team was largely still intact.

With LVG he has made some seriously odd-ball situations and more painfully they're down to his own doing even with a fit sqaud at his disposal.

Oh without doubt. My point was more that if a legend like Fergie was rightly slated for some baffling decisions that LVG's more baffling ones won't, and shouldn't, escape criticism.

Its not so much a complete get out jail free card Dazza, playing unexciting football will still count against them both, just with the short time frames they have had and the fact we were playing unexciting football prior to their arrival means I am not going to hold it against them that much...

If we hold onto LVG for a couple of years and the football doesn't improve it will start to become an issue for me...

Fair enough. I don't think you need a couple of years to get a team playing exciting football. Especially when you've had £150m nearly to strengthen your team.

Depends how well spent the £150M is and I guess how young the signings are, do they need time to adapt.

Some of those £150M signings aren't LVGs. Either before he came or he just okayed them like Shaw for example...

No excuses.

Yes. Moyes played players in their correct positions.

😂

Well it's a valid reason for me, if it just sounds like an excuse to you then fair enough...

It does.
