Yet, Russo played a major part in the Attitude era.

Naah, those who controlled the money took WCW down. They were paying well over the odds for ex WWE wrestlers and it resulted in a major ego complex backstage.

You only have to read the wrestling autobiographies to know this.

I'm not saying it was ALL Russo but having seen what he's done at WWF, WCW, and TNA, he is not someone whose work I would tune in to watch.

People are very selective in their opinions of Russo. As Metro stated, his stamp is firmly planted on the most successful period for any wrestling company ever, you don't just fluke into that. Problems have historically arose when he's given to much power, but as part of a creative unit he has his benefits.

WWE's mid and under card would be a hell of a lot more interesting if Russo had Vince's ear today.

Yes maybe as part of a team with someone to temper his ideas, he's not all bad, I don't know.

A clued up Vince McMahon and Vince Russo are a very good combination. Not so sure about a Russo-Heyman partnership, too much of a polar contrast in how both view wrestling to find an effective middle ground. Would love it tested though.
