This is completely unrelated to football, but I thought I would try and break up the 'we've bottled it, they've bottled it', at least until the weekend.
Just booked some flights to take the Mrs to New York in November. Have any of you been? If so, I would value your wisdom on things such as where to stay, eat, drink etc plus any handy hints and tips.
Thanks in advance.

Thank you all , very much.
It's been great to read about your experiencea, although I think we might need to go twice to fit it all in!

bcr, dont rely on cabs to get around, get yourselves metro cards and experiment with buses and the subway. safe as houses these days, any time of day, havent seen the guardian angels in years! the cheap ticket place is called tkts, some cracking deals available. if you go down to ground zero theres a shop there called century 21, designer kit at up to 75% off, good to distract the mrs! and if you ve got the time on saturday for footy then try legends on 33rd street between 5th and 6th avenues, best footy pub in n.y.c. have a great time!

As if I'd buy alcohol.
(Not outrageously expensive anyway)
