The tour is good if only to touch the sign while they play crowd noise.

No but we have 18 ohter league trophies and we actually own a European cup as we won it 5 times

We are getting him the tour, either of them it's just we can only get the Tour + VIP Lunch for 1 person and then we would be making him pay to take a friend, the standard Legends tour allows us to get 2 tickets and he can take a friend with him at no added cost. (I say friend to take but he has 2 sons in their mid-20's who will be fighting to go with him!)

He has a 75 mile journey to get up to Anfield

I did the Anfield experience thing a couple of years back. Had breakfast at Anfield then had a kickabout at the academy in Kirkby with Jimmy Case and David Johnson.
Then back to Anfield for lunch and a few beers. Really good day out

Anfield Experience - first class and highly recommended, you won't be disappointed.
