Ikeme on the way back

Carl Ikeme is on the mend and should be back in contention for a return to the first team at the end of the month, probably in time for the Easter fixtures. Kucszcak has done well in his absence and is a very good shot stopper but all round I doubt if there is a better keeper outside the Premier League than Ikeme and there is no doubt we are stronger defensively with him there.

Should walk back into the side, I would have thought.

Kucszcak has done OK and I wouldn’t object if we extended his contract in the summer but I’ll be glad to Ikeme back.

Sam Ricketts who has been helping out with the coaching at Wolves in recent weeks has said he needs to leave the club because he wants to carry on playing

I agree DJ, I am surprised that Ikeme hasn't had PL clubs queuing up for him, I always thought he was better than Hennessey and still do.

Hope he finds a club where he fits in - that's what it's about these days. Certain clubs suit players, and managers, come to that. The resurgence at Charlton could possibly be pointed at RJ who appears to have slotted in well. Playing with a broken rib first game will have endeared him to the Charlton faithful.
