..the tie tonight, but also our place in pot one of the Champions league draw next season. We are now 9th in the UEFA coefficient rankings behind the likes of Schalke, Porto and Benfica. Going out in the last 16 in the last 5 years has cost us BIG time.
Our only hope will be if Schalke finish outside the top 4 of the Bundesliga, otherwise we face a BIG club in the group stages.
Unless of course the new seeding system comes in next season.

The new seeding system is going to start next season.
Teams in pot 1 will be: Chelsea, Real/Barca, Bayern, Juventus, French champions, Benfica/Porto and the Russian champions. I am not sure who takes the 8th place may be if the winner is non of the seven.

Isn't it five years in a row going out prior to the quarter finals?
And please believe me, not here to wum this time, but it is pretty ridiculous the formula used when you are still in the top ten coefficient thing after five years like that.
