I read this on the Fail and have to say I agree with most of this apart from the Valencia part.
Very accurate regarding Evans RVP and ADM

Bizarrely accurate article from the Fail

It's not been a perfect season by any means, but we are playing a better, more controlled style of football (imo) which will eventually reap rewards.
If nothing else this season LVG deserves praise for completely outclassing Rogers in the tactical department.
Had Rogers reverted to a back four early on, when it was clear we would not allow their wing backs to go forward, we may have struggled.
The funny thing was, we did to Liverpool what so many did to us whilst playing 3 at the back.

I think your harsh saying you don't agree with the Valencia part. Arsenal mistake aside he's been very very good. People will put him down because he was previously a winger who everyone became fed up with. As a right back he's been superb.

I agree with this. I rate Rodgers highly but yesterday it was a masterclass. The best thing LVG did was mix it up with players like Mata/Herrera as well as having Fellaini in there. Liverpool really haven't had to deal with such a contrast of styles in a game for ages.
And yes, he made a huge mistake in starting the same team that struggled in the first half against Swansea against us.

Valencia rarely gets beaten 1 vs 1. He has been sound playing that position. His positioning is something that was always going to let him down as he is not a rb naturally. There is a reason Fergie, Moyes and now LVG all play the lad. Apparently he is the first in training and the last one out.

I think the word is solid. He doesn't get beaten one on one much and appears to position himself better in the right back position than he used to.
I think we need more going forward from him though, so often there is acres of space for him to run into and he just slows it down and goes sideways. Which I understand in the middle third, but not the opposition third.
Anyway, he is much improved and no longer do I see him as a big weakness. We do need a new right back though.

Maybe I'm spoiled but I want more than solid from a full back at UTD
I want to see him overlap and add to our attacks
Valencia just doesn't add to an attacking threat these days

In fairness, this is much of the reason Mata has been allowed the freedom to play and come inside the last couple of games. LVG said so himself, if Herrera and Valencia didn't cover for Mata theres little room to carry him.
Though I agree with your point.

Injuries this season have actually helped him

Yes I'm sure that LVG prays every night for his players to get injured.
No doubt he was delighted to have Carrick injured for months as he has been rubbish since his return. It was obviously a massive help to us to have our defenders injured on a weekly basis. That instability at the back was just what we needed to build a solid defence and ensure that DDG had few saves to make.
Your obsession with denying the manager any credit whatsoever is so far past boring now.
