You are John Henry

Liverpool have been knocked out in two semi's and have failed to reach the top 4 come end of the season.

You have a good manager that is able to bring young talent through. Here is the question facing you...

You have 60 million to give the manager this summer plus anything you get from sales. Do you trust the manager to invest it wisely?

Of course you give him the cash to spend. Back him or sack him, one or the other. If you don't allow him the opportunity to correct mistakes and squad imbalances then you'll never know how good or bad Rodgers really is.

Don't see Klopp as a realistic option, he'll have a few offers I'd imagine. Madrid appear likely to give Ancelotti his marching orders and I'd imagine Pelligrini will get the same. The managerial merry-go-round will begin again....

It will be an interesting summer.

We won't spend loads but we will have a decent budget.

Klopp will be able to attract better players than Rodgers, no doubt about it.

The fact he may be available to us will surely make FSG think hard.

He is a proven winner and Rodgers isn't.

I said before the game today it was Rodgers biggest as manager and I stand by that. He had a shocker today. If your up against a Mourinho or a Wenger or an LVG then you can use the inexperience excuse, but not up against Tim Sherwood. That just isn't good enough.

You blame the players as well of course but it was obvious we were badly set up today. We didn't appear to have a plan at all and were chucking formations at it in desperation more than anything else and that's a big worry.

Villa deserved to win. They had a plan to press our defence, attack our right side, and it paid off massively and we couldn't stop it.

Whether Klopp would do well in England is a big unknown quantity, but so is whether Rodgers will do well next season.

It's harsh to judge a manager on one game but that's life as a manager. The big games matter and you have to win them to stay in a job.
