Transfer Sagas

Seeing United and Liverpool fans worry about losing Sterling and De Gea respectively takes me back. I feel that our squad is currently very happy and excited by what the future holds.

Not to say we won't lose anybody this year even big players like Santi and Theo could go but it would be through our choice this time round, if we want Theo enough he stays, Santi's yearly flings have died down a bit as he suggested he's happy in London as long as he's valued, this was a diminishing case last year with Ozil pushing him out wide but we seemed to have found a new role for him now deeper, this is why I'm worried Arteta may be let go of, I'd like him to stick around.

Alexis & Ozil seem to be buying into being the franchise players at Arsenal they werent as influencial in Spain. Alexis had a great final season but was in rotation with Pedro and in Messi's shadow and Neymar also emerging. Ozil was the best No. 10 in the world but only played till the 70th min every week.

This is why I don't understand arguments about why we don't do the same thing, his role and overall influence has grown now and he has responsibility with us so of course he should see out games if possible hes been in the gym to ensure this is the case.

The problem is though as long as Madrid and Barca are around nobody is safe they have purchased 2 of the last BPL players of the year and can bully any club in the world in to stealing their talents.

The future sagas I can see happening a couple years from now

Ramsey - Madrid - if he manages to get back to last season's form, it's possible. Hopefully Bale and Ozil can tell him it's not what it's cracked out to be. Ramsey is very inconsistent and will go through hell there imo this is bad as he's a delicate character

Bellerin - Barca - If he develops well enough it's a given they'll be interested our only hope is they find a younger talent just as good

We'll always have interest but I think Ox, Chambers and Jack as long as valued will like to grow at Arsenal. Kos is probably happy to finish up here now which is pleasing. Ozil and Alexis' ambitions will have to be matched but hopefully them alongside signings of similar calibre will allow us to do so.

Santi will go back to Spain eventually, Sczesney will hopefully come back stronger next season, our competition in goal is solid a GK isn't an urgent need imo. Giroud is a gooner and as long as Wenger is here I can't see him getting big headed and desiring a departure... he does deserve a raise though especially if we tie Theo down. Thankfully we tied Chuba down, we'd have regretted that one

So we should be keeping our best and good potential players anyone that does leave is likely to be with our blessing or choice.

Very good times but we MUST sustain a stronger challenge next season otherwise unrest will creep in. Think the likes of Ozil really wants a CL medal in his career

Pep was linked with Kos in his last summer at Barca he was impressed after we beat them in 2011

Then his first summer at Bayern he tried to get him but Kos said if we can challenge he'll stay which we did to some extent. Was definitely the case Pep is a huge fan

Mr C

Don't see the shock in that a quick defender who's comfortable on the ball, just his type... so underrated

I dont watch many Arsenal matches. The matches I do watch are between both our teams. He seems a good defender. Seems to get himself involved in unnecessary tangles though or sometimes he dives in too early. Like he just loses his head for a second. Am I right? If he were to play for Barca, that wouldnt be a big problem as Barca have most of the ball anyway

Hang on... is someone saying the club that signed Thomas Vermaelen from us wouldn't be interested in Koscielny???????

That was about 2 seasons ago. He has improved a lot since then and seem to be much calmer now.

Inventor you are really excited about the club. You would easily be voted president of the AKB's if you wanted the position.

I just hope the emergence of Coq doesnt mean we dont sign a DM as was going to happen this summer. Not too bothered about a striker or goalkeeper because there arent any really class players in each position available.

Desperate for a DM & the press keep saying we have a prearrangement with Morgan.I hope its true. I would like to see us play with 2 DM's away from home next season & play proper couter attacking football.

Also excited about Gabriel

Honestly I was an original leader of the WOB so wouldn't go that far

After a lot of thinking I do respect Arsène a lot more now and can understand what he's trying to do and as long as he has done everything differently from what were formely my main complaints (no DM, no gung-ho approach in big games, compete for trophies) I'm happy to back Arsène.

I guess I'm somewhere in between, I want to see this progress continue for the next couple of years

Ramsey isn't good enough for Arsenal let alone Real Madrid
