'Just enjoy them both'

Have you heard of people who say just enjoy the two, talking about Messi and Ronaldo? What a myth and lie! Messi really has no rival. The so-called rivalry between Messi and Ronaldo is false and a myth, Messi is his own rival. There is no comparison of any kind.

To say enjoy them both is almost, if not, putting Ronaldo in the same line as Messi, which in itself is a sin! Messi is football. Ronaldo should be honoured to be compared to the greatest of all time. There's no rivalry. Not saying this just because of last night's Magic, Messi will forever be the GOAT even if he flops from now on till his career ends.

Let's talk when Ronaldo has played in the WC final. For now, Messi has scored 452 in 573 appearances. Ronaldo? 481 in 738. Don't get me started on assists as it will end the debate effectively. So Messi is operating at nearly 0.8 gpg while Ronaldo is on 0.65 gpg.

Don't think MYweather did anything more then what was expected of him, he's unreal at the defensive side of the game and just makes himself so hard to hit, just look at his face! He looks more like an actor then a boxer!

I was hoping manny would do more when he got the chance, he didn't throw enough punches when he had the chance too, a younger version of him would have thrown five six or seven shots while this version was throwing two or three max.

That's why 5 years ago it would have been far more interesting to see as manny would have been quicker with his feet and his hands and also he had an almost unique ability among current boxers where he would throw a power shot, off either hand going backwards, forwards or to either side, that would have cause FMJ far more issues five years ago then it did on Saturday.

But having said all that I hope they fight again and not even for the fight itself I love the big fight nights from Vegas have a major session party all night and watch the fight, great Craic.

I find the Messi v Ronaldo thing really weird, I can't be the only one? You've got men fawning and fighting over two footballers like teenage girls arguing about their favourite member of One Direction.

Just enjoy them both, you don't HAVE to choose.

Agree Bruce you get far more out of it just enjoyin the two of them then hating on one cause you prefer the other.

There's nothing to enjoy about Ronaldo. What does he do that some other footballers can't do? Arjen Robben at his best is more effective than Ronaldo. All Ronaldo does is score goals so is that we are supposed to enjoy? Tap ins and penalties? Whilst Messi on the other hand, has more to his game than just scoring. You actually enjoy watching him play.

They're many footballers at their best who are better than Ronaldo: Robben, Pogba, Pirlo, Bale, Suarez, Neymar, Iniesta, Modric .etc.These are FOOTBALLERS, they actually influence the whole game even without scoring. When Ronaldo doesn't score, usually he is nowhere to be seen.

Messi scored 2 and assisted the other. He undoubtedly lifted Barca last night but,to listen to some pros wetting themselves over his 2nd goal was weird. Nice goal, quality finish but calm down. Most say he is the greatest ever but he would not get a kick against Bryan Robson even with both his shoulders in a sling and a hamstring tear.

One day Ronaldo and Messi will retire and normalcy will return to football...

Records will then stay for years and not get broken every week.

Hat-tricks will again become the highlight of a players season, not an expectation every match.

A half century of goals in a single season will be something you tell your grand kids about, not just another seasonal target to be met.

The Ballon d'Or will become a FIFA prize again. Rather than the personal property of two men.

Until that day, enjoy them both whilst it lasts...

Stop lying to yourself. I will only tell my grandkids about Messi. Ronaldo won't even be mentioned or acknowledged because there's nothing he does that's enjoyable.
