Cena really doesn't try to improve his character does he? Same promos 'l never give up l never quit', ugly t shirts and basically doesn't give a damn about the adult fans. Anyhow, Rusev should go over against Cena at Payback to spark the feud. Cena doesn't need to win, but knowing WWE, he probably will.
I feel like Cena needs a break then come back fresh. Like someone said, if you never go away how can we love or miss you? It's cliché to criticise Cena but some things said about him are true.

He's not been too bad as U.S champion so far
This I Quit Match is an interesting one. Beyond question the right finish is to have Rusev put Lana in the clutch and have Cena say I quit to save her (puts everybody over). But at the same time I do think Cena as US champion right now is far more intriguing than Rusev holding the belt, and I can't see them having a five match feud to give it back to Cena. Tricky one.

Cena will never lose this kind of match. Only way is as said is to have him quit by proxy. Rusev is one of these stars who mirrors what exists outside the walls.
Cena who is let's face it Hogan mk2, an American a symbol of patriosm vs a bear like Russian. Its only going one way.
