He's no CM Punk

He was great in 2013 when he had HHH & Orton to play off. He's also a terrific, character centric wrestler for the mid-card whether that be as a serious face or a quirky heel.

He's a victim of his own hype. The beard gimmick has grown tedious, the yes chant is infuriating (just as bad as the 'what' chant), and he's been found out numerous times on the mic. Soon as he won the title at WM30 he lost elements of that underdog aura that carried his appeal during the excellent feud with HHH, and without it he's just a guy who can wrestle but can't talk

Not for me. I'd find it strange looking at Bryan with a voice piece beside him, just isn't his thing. There's no reason why he can't just be a reliable mid-card veteran type - fill the same role Benoit did in WWE.

It sounds really bad saying this, but hopefully if he does return from this second injury, because of this underling health risk it'll cause his whiney fans to curb their insufferable hisses whenever he's not booked like a Cena-esque god........ hopefully.

Yep.

The Bryan saga has corrupted the fanbase. Problem with rooting for the underdog is once they get on top they lose everything. The only way out from that cursed eventually is to turn into the heel champ.
