Could be true. Both squads Pep has managed are at least as good as and arguably better than anything Carlo has ever managed

Imagine if SAF had decided, after winning the treble, to leave United and to travel around Europe, using his reputation to secure the manager's seat at the best European side at a given time (effectively how Ancelotti won his Champions League titles). Seems quite likely to me that he would have been far more successful than Carlo in doing so.

That isn't how Ancelotti secured his CL titles because he won two of them in Milan.

Ancelotti is a brilliant CL manager, probably the best the competition has had.

Two collapses - in 04 against Depor when they were the best team in the tournament and 05 against Liverpool - has stopped him having five CL titles.
