Hopefully I am wrong but with each day that passes that he hasn't signed a new contract it's looking more inevitable that he wants the Real Madrid move.
If this is the case we should really use him as a powerful bargaining tool to sign one of their players which is looking most likely to be Bale.
If De Gea makes it clear to the club he wants to go we should really play hardball with Madrid and offer something like 30-40m plus De Gea for Bale. If they refuse then tell them the deal is off. Yes, De Gea can leave for free a season later which won't make or break us either way but Madrid tend to be impatient when seeking a player. They won't want to risk playing Casillas for another full season and deep down they know they can afford to lose Bale. This is our chance to get a top player at a really good price.

They sold Mata to United and Gallas to arsenal.
I know they're trying to sell Cech to Besiktas but he'd be mad to go there.
He's apparently got so much goodwill at the club that he'll probably be allowed to stay in the PL. Arsenal seem more likely than us imo as he's already living in London.

If Courtois had to deal with as many attempts as De Gea has had to this season he would come off with many eye catching saves as well. He just hasn't been tested as much as Chelsea's defence is better than Utd's.
And I'd say Cech is at least level with Courtois, with age being an obvious and understandable advantage for Courtois. If you swapped De Gea for Cech you certainly would not be downgrading.
Goes without saying all three are world class. I'd have all three of them above Neuer tbh.

Gallas doesn't really count as he was part of the A. Cole transfer. Mourinho will not sell Cech to Arsenal that is a fact.
My gut however says that Mourinho still wants the United job at some point so you guys might have more luck.
Either way DDG has become massively overhyped this season. When United were at their worst he shone, just like Adnan the season before. DDG is talented but not close to Cech or Coutois and Valdes will easily replace his contribution if necessary.

Just a reminder, Woodward said only yesterday a number of players with just 1 year left will be offered new deals. It is therefore likely they are yet to start seriously negotiating a renewal.
In other words, chill guys. We will no doubt offer him a huge deal. If he rejects it then not much we can do about it.

Funny we conceded the fewest goal attempts and attempts on target on our goal, not really suprising considering we dominate possession. Bit like Barcelona any rare save there keeper makes gets magnified.
