We hear a lot that Liverpool are slightly hamstrung by wages due to FFP and also having four of the top ten richest clubs in world football competing in our league with us. Is that FSG's fault? No.
There is no doubt they wanted players like Costa, Willian, Sanchez and Miki who would put us higher in the league I'm sure. Is that FSG's fault? Probably not (that's a different argument though) Would BR be any better or worse a manager? No.
So what more can our assorted millionaires do?
Well I have a couple of suggestions and would welcome others.
1) Improve facilities. I wasn't aware until greatteams mentioned it to me that Melwood is poor and inferior in comparison to our competitors. I've read up on it and it is indeed shít. This wouldn't effect FFP so they should sort it.
2) Sort the pitch! The reports are damning about the situation. I find it astonishing that a pro club could let this happen.
Both these could be fixed by dipping into their pockets.
What else do you think they could do to improve us and make us more attractive?
What more can FSG do?

ARE, I supect you’re wumming, but I don’t think Kenny got enough time, and I think BR needs more time, too.
Comparing the two is a fruitless exercise. For all we know, signing Balotelli may not have been Brendan’s decison (he had ruled him out, earlier in the summer), and signing Carroll may not have been Kenny’s (and in any case, nobody relishes playing against him, it’s just that he’s turned out to be injury-prone since we bought him).
We are not going to compete at the very top of the transfer market, so any success we do get is going to have to be done through good development and the nurturing of a good team ethic, which takes time.
You don’t get those things through constant managerial sackings. Sacking managers hasn’t worked for Spurs, and because of our boardroom disruption, we went through 4 managers in 3 years too, and it didn’t do wonders for us, either.
Next season is likely to be BR’s make-or-break season anyway, and he no doubt knows that.
Pre-empting it now would achieve nothing, and condemn us to the start of yet another ‘transition’ period, probably with another whole new set of players, some of which will work, some of which won’t, but what we can be sure of is that there won’t be any expectation on a new manager to get top 4, probably for 2 seasons.
For me, the verdict on BR is still out, but sacking him now would be pointless. Those fans who want sackings all the time are supposing that their analysis of what’s wrong is spot-on, and that they know just how to fix it, and who they can hire to do it.
But I don’t think it’s as easy as that, especially if you don’t have the biggest cash mountain.

When you break down the facts it is a bleak picture for BR
Tactically he's been found out and had to switch to 3 CB's due to crisis. However that's no way to play football at the top level. You just need to balance the team far more effectively in the middle of the pitch
We got good results last season because we had strikers on fire. Defensively we were all over the place and he didn't learn anything this season. He didn't think to make us more solid as a team when he sanctioned selling Luis. Poor management!
A blind man could see we needed better balance in the middle of the park to protect the defenders a bit better. What did he do, buy Lallana & Markovic who we just didn't need! He then buys the worst CB I've seen in a Liverpool shirt (yes Torben, I can't believe my eyes either)
Complete panic in buying Mario. Agreeing to sell your best player without a clue as to how to replace him!
3 years in we've got a worse squad of players having spent an incredible amount of money and no defined system of play. You cannot hope to succeed with 3 CB's!
The contract negotiating skills at the club, the lack of forward thinking and planning of contract talks, the media management
It's all wrong. BR it seems has lost the dressing room as well. Players who are coming through and should be hungry don't seem to want to play for him

sell the mutineering players and sack everyone else?

So why do we have so many clean sheets.
I'd also like to ask you if you think it's a football coach who negotiates contracts and tranfers.

I also think BR could have lost the dressing room. A number of players look disinterested. This Sterling scenario is damaging for Rodgers. That is 3 key players in 2 seasons that have wanted out. FSG will be asking big questions.
I know they sacked 4 of our scouting team at the start of the season. They take advice off many people in football including David Gill and Ivan Gazidis, chief exec at Arsenal. One thing I like about them is they are trying to get our club higher up the commercial table.
Our problem started back in 1990. John Smith stood down and the Moores gave control to their cowboy son David Moores who sat back and let the club run itself as he was a fat lazy joker.
When FSG took over I think we only had 2 major sponsors. I have lost count how many they have added in the last few years. They are acting on the capacity of the stadium as we are losing millions in revenue due to small attendances compared to Utd & Arsenal.
They realise we can't compete with Chelsea, Utd & City financially yet so that is why we are buying young and cheap. I hope they realise that this doesn't always work and we have hardly any leaders with balls at the club now.
This will be an interesting summer and FSG will need to be super smart or they could lose the patience of the fans.

I think I refer to the contract negotiating skills at the club not specifying the manager
It depends really. If your Arsene Wenger you probably decide the tea ladies wages!
I digress. Any manager should know how long the contracts are for his first team squad. When he is planning the next 3 years that should be one of the first things on the list. Surely someone at the club would have enough foresight to think that you tie your top talent up at the peak point. The peak point in this case was towards the end of last season / immediately post season. CL Football, top players at the club etc.
Instead complete flapping and panic....not good enough, absolutely p *** poor considering the infra-structure at the club

You seem to know a lot about running a Premiership club, respected. Are you avalable for the job?
Winning titles will be a doddle, with you in charge.

I would only sign players who really want to play for the club

And, out of curiosity, in which kind of organisation do you ply your management skills?

Maybe, but why would that be?
