He seems to have alienated the fans and maybe a few team mates, best get shot of him now and get some money for him, realistically speaking

Liverpool FC have decided to cancel a proposed meeting with Raheem Sterling regarding his future in the wake of his agent's extraordinary attack on the club.
Sterling and his agent Aidy Ward were due to meet boss Brendan Rodgers and chief executive Ian Ayre at Melwood on Friday for further talks about a new contract.
However, the Reds' hierarchy have informed Ward that meeting will no longer take place after reading his alleged comments today.
Ward gave an interview in which he said Sterling wouldn't sign a new contract even if Liverpool offered him £900,000 per week.
And the agent also said he “didn't care” about the damage being done to the club's image.
With Ward having made it clear he has no interest in holding talks about a new contract, Liverpool have decided there is no point in the meeting taking place.
Sterling has made it clear he wants to leave Anfield this summer with Manchester City leading the chase for his services.
But Liverpool have no intention of selling the 20-year-old, who still has two years of his current deal to run.

If LFC decide not to even offer him a new contract and keep him, this will cost Raheem literally millions of pounds. He will surely be a tiny bit miffed with his agent?!
I expect a statement from JW Henry asking what was in Raheems balloons!

He needs two years with the reserves......never being given a chance in competitive games.....then we see what this tw a at Ward will have to say after two years.....
well.....just wishful thinking of the best lesson to the agent and the player..

Let's face it BR has wasted over £200 million on other rubbish, why worry about letting Raheem's contract run down
Clearly based on our transfer dealings we don't need the money!

I think this deal with Ibe, who is now on the same money as Sterling will be one situation to watch.
Both paid the same - lets see who performs.

Wonder if this pleb Aidy Ward is now complaining that LFC didn't do enough to protect him from negative press headlines.

In my view there is nothing to be gained by the club in entering into any conversation, far less negotiation with Sterling or his representative.
To make this move, or, to put it more bluntly, to pull this stunt with two years left on his contract is the action of a person not very well versed in the art of negotiation.
The £100K offer has not been accepted, I hope it has been rescinded. RHeem and his agent is now on £35K per week for the remaining two years. End of.

What the play was for Sterling and his agent was to put a buy out clause in his contract. To make liverpool relieved that he has actually signed a contract.
Now that talks have been cancelled Liverpool can bide their time and not be forced to sell to just an club but one of our choosing.
Thereby as with Suarez, Sterling will have to go abroad.
Simple as.
