Woeful....

Well, I wasn't too high on expectation, but that was a shocker nonetheless.

Defence as bad as Sheff Utd leg 2, and we offered nothing in attack. Preston were good, but we didn't push them beyond the basics.

Those in the team who think they're too good for League 1 should take a long, hard look at themselves. Men against boys. Nuff said.

Red, old fruit, you didn't miss much!

Sigh....

I feel for you George, I live in North Wales and the later ko time meant that I couldn't get to the game. Watching on TV was bad, to be there at considerable cost must have been excruciating.

Now that Luongo and Gladwin have moved on let's hope some of the money will be well spent on some no nonsense defenders, but the likes of Shaun Taylor, Stan Harland and Mel Nurse don't come along very often. I'll be interested to see who comes in to replace those who are obviously moving on. I felt for Wycombe in the League 2 play off, that must have been heart breaking, but at least they gave it their all and left their supporters proud.

George, I'm glad I didn't go. The journey back to Leicester would have been a nightmare. We used to boast that we had never lost at Wembley, now it is "We can't score at Wembley"
The whole side will be changed now, the better players are already going, the loanees also. So we have to start again. Unlike the old days, we can't get settled team season to season. Then we only had the odd signing or sell the odd player to keep continuity.
But I hope that Cooper starts moving soon, not wait until the end of summer when only the scraps are left.

Cheers for the comments guys. Yeah, it was a good call to stay at home for that one!

Lucky for me, I live in London, so it's not too far to go, but it still amounted to a chore on the day.

It's a poor do when a team is so comprehensively broken up at such a young age. As a player, all you need now is half a good season and the agents start engineering the moves.

Seems that a fair chunk of the fee we received for Luongo and Gladwin has disappeared into debt repayment, but I'm confident that Power and Cooper will have good plans in place. Can't fault them on the transfer market so far.

So here's to the next Shaun Taylor, whoever it is....!
