Part time

So I was listening to some wrestling podcast and the guy said, watching WWE nowadays is almost like having a part time job. And I’m thinking hmmm he does make a good point. WWE has so much unnecessary programming, like what’s the point of Superstars or Main Event? How about focus more on shows that really matter and improve them?

You have the infinite 3 hours of Raw, 2 hours of SmackDown and 1hr NXT. That’s almost 10 hours worth of wrestling each week incuding Superstars and Main event. Not to mention most of it is crap. I only watch ppvs and NXT, but for the typical WWE fan, it indeed seems like a part time job if you watch most of that.

What do you watch?

As of the beginning of this year I'm down to just the PPVs. The video packages do a better job of hyping up and telling the story than Raw does anyway, have done for years, so I've lost nothing from dropping Raw. I watch YouTube personalities talk about wrestling more than the actual product these days.

It's helped me stay engaged with WWE cutting the viewing down to three plus hours a month. Watching three hours of Raw every week was such a chore - bless those people who can sit through Raw, Smackdown, NXT, Main Event, Superstars and the PPVs

NXT is genuinely worth watching. Agree Raw can be like a chore sometimes but NXT is good every week and their specials are always outstanding.
