After the end-of-season thunderstorms..

..are we in for Clement weather?

The appointment of the Real Madrid man is certainly a gift for these boards; debate will be rife as to whether he will be seen as a genius appointment or a desperate boards folly, and will perhaps dispel the tumbleweed that blows around 606 in the close season. Can a number 2 produce a team that is rather better than, ahem...a load of number twos?

My own gut feeling is that this is a masterstroke. I think Sam Rush is beginning to be held in high regard in the football world, and it seems Clement has anyway known him for some time. As mentioned in Wassa's excellent comment elsewhere, I think going for someone who has taken the route Clement has, is the way forward for this club. I was despondent sat in the stands on the final day of the season, but today, I have renewed optimism.

Well keep it to yourself then. Don't throw a spanner onto the atmosphere.

By the way, what's this CB4 malarkey in 666's posts?

I googled it and it seems to be some 90s hip hop film.

We know 666 is a big fan of gansta rap, what with all the Kanye shout outs and that, but I don't see the connection with Clements.

Larry, I assumed he was showing his support for our 4 centrebacks.

If Cristiano Ronaldo is CR7, who could CB4 be..?

It's new, snazzy and exciting for 2015/16.

Strett a lot of teams were after Paul clement one being in the championship....... But because he new Sam rush he chose Derby County........ While you got The best coach from Bolton we got the best coach in the world

Strett,

It's another case of contrast and compare between Derby, a well run club with ambition and Forest, a club which has not been well run since Nigel Doughty and is now the plaything of a very rich, but not very wise fridge salesman.

The result is the difference between a succession of Billy Davies, Alec McLeish, Stuart Pearce and Dougie Freedman. Compared with, at Derby in Steve McLaren and Paul Clement. Farwaz sacked the best manager (SOD) and lost McLaren in some sort of mix-up.
