The gameplay trailer looks epic in every sense of the word. Can't wait to play this.

Sorry disagree with your analogy delboy - racing games have never been niche, from the early days to when we had ridge racer, wipeout and F1 (and even before in the arcades) there has always been a huge demand for racing games and up until gt created the sim like games they have only gotten better - they have also gone out and mad sub categories with games burnout etc.
Also and the most important thing is steering controls can be easily replicated on a controller or other peripheral and its an either or situation. The problem with arma is you need lots of buttons - there is nothing wrong with the controller, its just the complexity of the control method itself and requiring more than what the controller can offer without having hundreds of onscreen menus, although CoD seems to be making a good effort on that front, did you see the mess of controls that is the new CoD game?!?
I know the FPS genre has burnt a lot of people out, and we havent seen anything new but in all honesty people play arma for the mods and not necessarily for Arma itself, so if anything we will get the 3rd party mods as games rather than Arma itself - like DayZ.

Sorry Simon you have been correct on other things but there has never been a sim on a console the closest we have had is Project Cars and even that is a little off ... (ps i dont have enough buttons on my pad & whell combined for project cars !!!) honest! GT was as close as consoles got to a sim until P Cars. Also in proper sims the controls cannot be just transferred over i guarantee you ... no i promise you, You could not compete with a wheel user with a pad on a sim not even close please trust me on this. If i were to hook my pad up to my pc/ps4 and used it rather than my wheel i would be around 3/4 secs minimum slower (i have about 2 yr experience on the wheel and used a pad before that for about 20 yr !) Sim racing doesnt come cheap !! 360 quid for my wheel and pedals, 165 for my racing stand, before you even think about console/pc and a game .... im also looking ot add a bucket seat rig to my stand for around another 140 quid.Sounds a lot eh .. well there is a guy on my site who in the last 4 months has spen 16k on his set up no bull$hit !!

and i i swear thats the truth regarding a guy on my friend list he has a hydraulic rig set up ..... ps he is a professional racer ! if there are any proper racers out there check us out on VRroom. The level is very high however and we only allow guys to race if they have proper set up ie wheel and pedals and can pass an induction test. All our races are fully marshalled, pace cars yellow flags all aids off, tyre wear, mechanical failures, damage the full shabang. We aint gamers were hobbiests !!!
