Is it anywhere near as good as Arkham City? Doubt it.

Not played it myself but most are saying story and gameplay its the best of the 3, only problem is the bat tank......

If you can swing and glide around Gotham as normal then it shouldn't be a major problem though, especially if you can summon the Tank whenever you want.

The gliding system looks to be much improved on from demos I've seen. Looks like you can really gather speed by diving for a bit then coming back up.

Superb this has been mosts people solutions, the problem is there are triggered sections in which you have to use it.

Whoops.. I mean to say that I was very close to getting this game, however I'm not a fan of games that force you to go a certain way, especially when the way they are pushing you is broken.

Will only buy if/when these issues are fixed

How often though ?

If it's just every now and then, then probably not the end of the world. If it's all the time then can see it being a major pain in the backside.

Why can't they get such important things in games like this right ?

I dont know how often - i get the impression that it falls in that space of quite a lot, but not quite enough to break the game.

And no one can work out why the bat tank is even in the game or the point of it, and it is so far from the Batman Universe its a weird weird idea - mayne a new line of radio controlled toys?!

I remember seeing an interview a few months back about the making of this game with one of the makers/designers and he was saying that they wanted the batmobile/tank to essentially be a character in the game. Not just a means of transport.

But if they haven't made it really easy to use and a nice experience to drive then they've pretty much invalidated the entire point of having it in the first place.

Well i look at it from the Batman universe point of view, and that is the car he just pretty much uses for getting from Gotham Manor to Gotham City and setting up a sort of mobile base in the city, he then just swings and glides about, and this is it in every cartoon, film or book i have seen or read. I dont mind having the the bat mobile in there but the whole battle tank makes no sense from a batman point of view
