Wood fee accepted

So we compete with Leeds to sign Wood.

Cyp, he chose Leeds over us because he was probably told he would get regular football. Like I've been saying all along, he wouldn't get that with us because we have Dicko and Afobe, so I'm not at all surprised we didn't get him.

Can I now have a RAA badge.

No you can't. All reports suggest that Wolves pulled out of the deal because they were not prepared to meet Leicester's £3 million valuation.

Therefore Chris Wood never had us as a choice so he cannot have chosen Leeds over us.

Would Wood have been the next Bully or the next Elsie? We'll never know.

Would he have displaced Dicko or Afobe? Played alongside them? Sat on the bench waiting for his chance and never made the shirt his own? We'll never know.

What we do know is that Jackett saw enough to pursue him over a twelve month period so he obviously saw plenty of promise.

What we also know is that going into the season with only two decent strikers would be huge error.

Good in theory until you consider Benik Afobe, we beat 16 interested parties, two from the prem and he signed for us.

But overall, no idea, I would guess wages is what let's us down more often than not, a big hint to that would be us losing three players we wanted to Ipswich last january.

Wolves are now rumoured to be outbid by someone for Robby Brady from Hull.

You can add all the reasons why he went to Leeds and didn't come to us. But at the end of the day, he would not have been happy to be warming the bench for us. I've said from the outset that he wouldn't be joining us and so I'm claiming the RAA badge anyway. (#pokestongueoutatthenitpickers)

Cyp. When are you going to realize that our club has a strict wage policy and if players don't like it, they won't be joining us.

Still, it gives you something else to moan about.

I do realise that, however it doesn't mean that I have to agree with it, especially as it cost us a play-off place last season and might do the same this season.

Btw, classy "Have a nice day ladies.". It's always someone else with the insults, isn't it!

So by your rationale Cyp, we didn't make the play offs because we have a strict wage policy.

Considering we have the same policy this season, means that we'll miss out again then, not might do.

Got it.
