Avoid the Nottingham/Ilkeston area

The police are issuing safety alerts for people in the area. Manchester United are signing an Italian player and because known Italian loving deviant 'Mex' lives in the vicinity authorities are warning of thick white gunge flowing into the streets.

Pfft. The midlands has never been my favourite part of the country.

Give me gorgeous Yorkshire any day of the week. Easily the most beautiful part of our Nation in my opinion. Anywhere lower than Sheffield is a bit la di dah.

Bag O Nails is still popular. Good prices for students, £1 Bombs and £2 pints

Mex lives in Ilko? It's about a racist a place as there is!

Aye, considering how diverse Nottingham is Ilson is a pretty racist place, that said, I watched England USA there during the 2010 WC and had a great night.

Ilkeston isn't any more or less racist than anywhere else

I have to disagree on that I'm afraid.

Forest Fields is as diverse as it comes and you'd get filled in for being racist. You'll hear many a comment in the likes of Ilko, Arnold and Calverton though.

All very white is right. That's how it comes across to me anyway.

Aye, I went to college with a lad from Ilson and two others from Stapleford and they said it was "a bit racist" out that way, not massively, it's not like Mississippi Burning or anything, but more BNP, EDL types then you'd find in other areas of Nottingham.

There are some bars in town you're likely to find a few EDL types, Bluebell springs to mind when its a non student night
