Its a good price no doubt, but will they be able to improve their squad with it? £30 mil on Firminho already, leaving them maybe £40 mil.
Sterling will be a hell of a player. Has the potential to be Englands best ever. Arguing with Rodgers was never going to bring the best out of him.
Liverpool fans seem happy

Embarrassing post.

Explain who has shown more at the age of 20 in recent years?
I'm pretty sure you were calling Bale dross until he moved to Madrid.

I'll give you one - Thiago.

When Arsenal wre selling our best players it was to help fund the stadium build. That looks like it is behind us now and we are able to fund uying big player transfers rather than having to sell for big money transfers. The stadium is starting to pay back.
What do Liverpool have to show for the sale of Suarez and Sterling, probably their two best players, in the last couple of years?

Silly way of looking at it.
Xavi wasn't as good as Fabregas was when he was 19 or 20. Cesc never reached his level though. Just to give you an example.
It's amusing that you were moaning about people 'underrating' Sterling. But it seems you're the one thats overrating him.

Thiago, Neymar, Verrati (he actually plays for a top European club) are better than Sterling

Showed what exactly? Don't get this hype at all he seems to be a gifted teen in the side but never the star man.
Cesc carrying Arsenal at 19, Rooney destroying the Euros at 18, even Wilshere's breakthrough year included some memorable performances
Sterling ended the season well with a free-scoring L'pool side but Suarez and Studge were the star players. This season both were out and it was his time and he did very little.
What's Raheem done in his career? A shot that looked like it went in, in the WC, nothing in the CL which saw L'pool knocked out early, big game hiding this season.
Stop hyping the kid, for the record I think he'll do well at City but people say he's as good as Messi, Ronaldo, Owen at that age never makes sense

Verrati
That's 5 players better age 20.
Of course some players develop at different stages but forwards usually develop earlier. He might not reach the heights I suggest but he can. No one is talking about Ronaldo and Messi.
Part of it is due to his style. I've never seen an Englishman with the potential to be ripping it up at Barca on the wing. Sterling can do that.

Man City have got themselves the best young player in the league. Sterling was unplayable with Suarez and sturridge, imagine what he'll do with aguero and silva. City have a gem, if t

Agree with the above posts; people may baulk at the price, but I really believe he's a world-class talent.
He was absolutely exceptional when Liverpool almost won the league, and was recently crowned the best Under-21 player in Europe. Last season may not have been his best, but I feel that could be symptomatic of playing out of position for the most part (he played anywhere from right-wing-back to striker).
If played regularly in his best position (left-wing/wing-forward and/or behind the striker) with the likes of Aguero, Silva, and Toure around him, I could see him hitting the heights he did a couple of seasons back, and even improving on it as he develops as a player.
