Morning all, last season we chased Sanchez as part of the Suarez transfer and he ended up wanting to live in London, thus the deal fell through.
This now left us looking round for a panic buy and putting our faith in thd Italian, which lets be honest was an epic fail, so we ended up playing a 20 year old kid up front with no experience.
Our main problem last seaon was hitting the back if the net listing our 2 main strikers which did so much damage the year before.
Now LVG has come out, (being reported on sky and bbc websites) saying he's happy to go with what he's got upfront?
And liverpool have added goals and guild to their squad, as Rafa once said small details win games, have utd let Liverpool back in, I hope so!
Utd making same mistakes as liverpool?

United have had an excellent window so far.
There seems an element of panic to Pools early transfer activity.
LvG is right to stalk and pick the right signings. I personally wouldn't mind Benteke as a 2nd or 3rd choice forward at the moment for United (would give us something different). However I think he is right to look for players that would instantly slot in the side and improve us based on the style he is going for.
I feel 3 more top quality signings are coming from United (and Pedro even if we sign him isn't necessarily one - which is great news for United fans). A centreforward, centre back and goal keeper will be signed I feel by hook or by crook. If they fail in this come September, deep down LvG will be disappointed whether he shows it or not. Its been crystal clear all last season that United have been a team of square pegs in round holes for the majority of the time, and both Woodward and LvG are desperate to put this right.

I read that comment to mean that part of the Man Utd fraternity were panicking due to our transfer activity.

(to add) as getting players in so early in the window that everybody knows we need, cannot be deduced as panic.

Absolutely. After Depay things went quiet. Although no United fan could realistically say he/she would want any of Liverpools early targets (perhaps Clyne) we were in overdrive in terms of why is there no activity. LvG and Woodward have addressed that with quality and more importantly relevant signings that would fit and help the team progress.
I don't expect that to stop now. Its a job two thirds done at the moment whilst CB, CF and DDG future remains unresolved.

We need someone behind the main striker.
Else we are going to play with Fellaini at number 10 and stick to the hoofball as it stands.

When was the last time you watched a Utd game?

The mistakes Liverpool made were, first of all, selling their best player, secondly not replacing him, and thirdly, filling the squad full of shíte with the proceeds of the Suarez money.
==================================
This may well be true, but they still managed to play 15 odd games more than United last season, and were still pushing United for a top 4 place with only a few games remaining.
This season United don't have the luxury of playing almost half a seasons less football than those around them, and Liverpool and Spurs will have improved their squads, and will push them hard for that remaining champions league spot.
