Give them time.

It really is tiring to see the number of fans on here who are still a little uncomfortable with our squad. While I share similar concerns (about Arteta,Theo centrally, Chambers getting games against top sides), I'm really positive of where we are compared to our rivals.

No, I'm not judging ability only. The squad's chemistry is at a place it hasn't been at since Gallas destroyed it all those years ago.

But now we have better players...everywhere...with good competition in every position (maybe except LB)

A winning mentality is often more important than player pedigree in those big games. Juve got into the habit of winning locally so it manifested in their CL campaign eventually.

How much more can we get out of Alexis, Feo, Ozil, Ramsey, Monreal and especially Giroud to take us that little bit higher in level to finally be CL contenders.

Every window we hear about flavour of the month players we should sign but dont' realize it was the belief their coaches had in them that turned them into the eye-catching prospects we now want. Most of those players were given chances in their teams long enough to establish themselves.

2 spaces were filled internally last season because Wenger didn't jump the gun to buy players he didn't need longterm. I wonder what surprises we'll get this season.

Now we have 2 quality players who are also in the mental position to "wait their turn" if they are relegated to the bench during the season.

Compared to the behaviours of big name players in other teams who want out the second their ability is questioned (Felipe Luis, Di Maria, Valdes), it's an all-around better approach to squad building.

It honestly makes me feel we will be a stronger team by the end of the season than we are now. That positive movement compared to the general "standstill/regress until new signing" amongst our rival has taken us from Michael Owen putdowns to genuine contenders in 2 years.

I'm honest. I am not confident we will win the Prem. However, I'm confident we'll make whoever wins it play the best football of a generation to do so.

COYG!

I would honestly take somebody like Cambiasso, experience proven PL player with energy and experience. Arteta simply does not have the legs to do what Coq does, even at 34 Cambiasso would offer us what none of our back up options can.

Nah.....Bats, we are not desperate. I would be happy with someone like Victor Wanyama allthough not my first choice.

I have read a lot of crap in my life but the crap said about Bellerin is disgraceful.

Show some faith in your young players and support. He has the potential to play for barca. Obviously he isn't going to be world class this season but I doubt many teams in the league would turn him down.

We need a DM. I don't think the DM needs to be world class. Just able to do the same job coq does when coq can't play or even have the potential to displace him.

We can stick with Giroud and be happy with top four every year or we can sign a top class striker or wide forward and really challenge for the title.

Other positions we can sign is a winger (if we just get a plain old striker), CB and left back but these aren't desperately needed.

We need a back up DM and a ST if we want to challenge and come out winners though

Can't believe we paid 12 million for Debuchy injury prone and average thankful for Bellerin's emergence

Bellerin is such a special talent. Has always been good going forward but improved defensively, immensely.

Give it a couple of years and Bellerin will be on the way back to Barca to replace Dani Alves

Can't believe some idiots still don't understand the difference between the DM position at Arsenal vs CM.

At the moment our "cover" for DM is the equivalent of having Keiran Gibbs as our 3rd choice CB.

We do not have any player capable of adequately covering for the Coq and therefore we are one injury away from zero chance of a title challenge.

A ball hit Giroud on the foot at Everton, he spent three months on the sidelines; Debuchy motioned towards a ball , fell over his ankle and wasn't seen again for three months.
We can't rely on our luck . Coquelin out for any length of time will see our challenge crumble. There is no other in the team that bring his skill set to the table; certainly not the useless " I only leave on a free" Flamini or the flagging " my calves can't carry me" Arteta.

We all saw how successful Nacho Monreal at CB was last season. People actually cited him as cover for Kos because we played him there in pre season 😂 😂 😂

Monreal is actually more capable of covering CB than Arteta is DM - and Monreal is a terrible CB..
