migrant crisis. Obviously it is very sad to see these refugees/migrants heading towards Europe en masse, but there surely has to be a limit to what European countries can do, the whole of the Middle East cannot be displaced to Europe. And what are some of the Arab countries doing to help their fellow countrymen/women. What about some of these oil rich states, who spend millions on football clubs and players, and yet don`t seem to be taken in to many of their fellow Arabs, Kuwait for example what are they actually doing to ease the plight of the migrants? Also it might help if the Americans/British/French did not go around destabilising the Middle East by overthrowing their leaders for political gain, and actually tried to sort the problem at source.
The bottom line is that this is going to affect us all if it is not sorted out pretty soon. Cameron is now giving the red light to migrants to come, having already failed miserably on his pledge to keep migration down to below 100,000 and that will encourage even more, until a trickle becomes a flood.

I do hope that UK will do it's fair share of this European problem.
Just let me throw this question out :-
If the situation was reversed and hundreds of thousands of Brits had to leave the UK, would we get the same level of welcome and financial assistance in Syria, Afghanistan and Eritrea (asuuming those countries were stable).
I am personally happy to help people if I think those people would do the same for me in the same situation.

Must be plenty of space in Russia.
They don`t like cold weather.
What I don`t get is if a lot of these are supposedly poor refugees fleeing to make a better life, is how come they are all walking about with mobile phones, and I saw one with a Real Madrid shirt on, now they don`t come cheap.

What an idiotic thing to post. The Syrian refugees have left their homes because of war. 4 million have fled their country. The war has allowed ISIS to flourish. Assad on one side - religious nutjobs on the other and rebels in the middle fighting both.
Do you think that this man stopped in Madrid to buy a shirt on the way here? Do you not think there is a possibility that the man owned the Madrid shirt when he lived in Syria. Is it not possible that this man had a home in Syria to hang his football shirts up when he wasn't wearing them?
They are fleeing to make a "better life" because they believe they will be killed in their home country.

The daily mail are the only one who constantly perpetrate myths based on hatred though.

Keep making assumptions. I don't get my opinions from newspapers, I seek out the pure facts and numbers. From my experience the like of the Guardian are FAR more likely to represent the facts. The DM is gossip.

The harder the country makes our healthcare professionals work then sooner they will think fack this and sod off elsewhere.
We fool ourselves thinking we have a democracy.
And the little boy that died, his father shoved them all on a boat cos he wanted free dental, nothing else.

The question to all the do gooders and ones calling Cameron a " distance" for his stance.... Would you put up a family of immigrants/ refugees in your home or back garden? As you are so for helping the thousands then why don't you put up a family and then surely you are helping the cause. My dad is Turkish Cypriot and half my family immigrated here in the 60s so I'm no right wing hater. But we as an island are over populated as it is. If we take thousands of refugees which is what the EU want us to take then we have to house them. I'm sorry but we have enough problems housing our own people as it is and people are finding it hard to buy property as it is and you want to make the situation worse? People need to understand we are a small island and not some huge country like France and Germany who have the space to take a few thousand in if need be. You open the floodgates for refugees to enter then it will just get worse and worse. It's tragic with that poor kid but the fact the EU are using this horrible incident on a pedestal to try and blackmail the Uk is enough reason to vote out when the referendum comes.
