Anecdotal punnies

In the absence of the Friday pun and games thread i thought to borrow the idea , if I may, and reveal our favourite punny stories.
Here is my offering, from the 1940s as related by Frank Swettenham.
Residing in Kuala Lumpur was a gentleman by the name of Mr.Tat who was suffering from a not uncommon stomach ailment. His doctor recommended a remedy involving the consumption of wines from the Rhine. At that period the liquor stores in KL had only Liebfraumilch to offer, so Mr Tat bought a few cases. His friend Frank commented its a clear case of t1t for tat.
