It's just not working.

Until Coquelin gets back, I would consider moving Cazorla back to CAM and playing Flamini or Arteta next to Ramsey.

Ramsey out wide doesn't work.
Arteta can't do it on his own in the centre (same with Flamini).

Obviously when Coq gets back fit he needs to go in the side next to Rambo.

Let's not delude ourselves, Ozil isn't doing it for us at CAM so he should either be shunted to the left (where we have Sanchez) or the right (where we have Theo/Ox).

So either we drop Cazorla for Ozil or vice versa. We can't fit both in the side for the starting line-up (but it might work if we bring one of the bench for the last 20/30 minutes of certain games).

Let's be honest, since Wenger has played the Cazorla/Coq pivot we have never look dangerous in the same way that we have in previous seasons.

I think Giroud, unfortunately, is our only true option at CF, and so that means we have a bench with either Caz/Ozil and Theo/Ox - which isn't necessarily a bad bench to have.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I can't wait to get Wilshere back on the pitch (which I assume won't be until well after the new year).

This experiment needs to be over. It doesn't work in the PL, it doesn't work in the CL.

We can't keep going through the motions with Wenger's latest project. It's time to adapt or time for Wenger to leave (along with his outdated football tactics).

Does anyone agree with me or am I just some armchair football manager wanna-be??? (Which is probably true whether you agree with this article or not).

you are an armchair man LOL but I kinda agree with you. Too many players not completing the complete picture of their role in their given positions.

Awful analysis. Would be too tiring to go through every wrong point, there are just too many.

Why do you think that? Is it the goals Theo has scored or the ones Giroud hasn't? And the Coq/Cazorla partnership wasn't working when we went on the best run of form of any team in the league? Or when we won the FA Cup? Ozil hasn't been doing it in the number 10 role while creating more chances than most players in the league?

Why do you think any of this stuff? Rather than just make arbitrary statements saying "Let's be honest, blablabla just isn't working", how about coming up with some kind of analysis to back them?

Confusing.

Agree with some points of this article but strongly disagree with most.

Arteta offers nothing at DM, he's a CAM who nows sits deep because we've got better CAMs, nothing more.
Flamini is fairly awful but for me he should play and be partnered by Ramsey (Wenger needs to do his job and get a message to the Welsh man to play with discipline and stop the useless flicks n tricks).

I'd be happy with Cazorla or Ozil at CAM, both are good options but one now needs to be benched. Ox or Walcott on the wing with Sanchez on the other

I strongly disagree with your comment on CF:
What you've said is after 3 years of proving he's not good enough Giroud is our only option. After only a few dozen games and lots of goals (also lots of poor performances but no more than Giroud) Walcott is definitely not the answer? I'd argue he's the only answer until the next transfer window as he hasn't yet failed over 3 years.

Giroud is not our only 'true' option at striker - He is the reason for our imbalance and turgid attacking play.

Could only work if we press as a team when the opposition has the ball. Would also require Kos and Gabriel at CB as we'd need to squeeze up as an entire unit and keep space between CB, CM & FWDs to an absolute minimum. I'd like to see it but it would take a lot of work on the training field and I'm not sure that's likely at Arsenal. Seems more of a couple of cones out, 5 aside do what you want kinda scenario...
