A couple of matches ago I'd have said play him. However, in the derby and against Liverpool I thought Gestede clicked. As well as his two goals in the latter he had a terrific volley, from a Hutton cross, which only just veered of target. That convinced me that he's got the potential to succeed. I'd play Gestede, but he does have to get the support from others. Likewise there's evidence to say that Ayew is beginning to click as well.

There's an argument which says just try Kozak to see what happens. I think that there's too much chopping and changing at the moment. We need the a settled team; I think that has to be based on Gestede in attack and Ayew in there somewhere.

Tim says when he finds the side which clicks he'll stick with it. Wrong way around. You have to stick with a side to see if it'll click.

Fair point about Gestede.

He scored 1 in 2 for Blackburn and he has got 3 in 8 (in the PL) for Villa this season so far.

If he contines that form and manages a whole season at 1 goal in 2 games... he will get 19 for Villa this season in the league. And that would be a pretty useful contribution for you!
