Urgent Innqwest

In solidarity with our good friends down the road it appears that they are having an urgent investigation into their 3 year long injury crisis.

http://www.nottinghampost.com/Nottingham-Forest-launch-urgent-investigation/story-27920287-detail/story.html

As fellow fans I thought we could help post our views, in a non-obsessed way of course, as to what might be causing such regular, unusual but constant strife.

Some ideas to contend with could be:

- Over training them - although the results would seem to imply this is not the case.

- There is a culture of ill health and consumption permeating through the team, traceable back to Lewis McGugan's mars bar fetish.

- Andy Reid is such a large figure within the club that younger players sadly look up to him for lifestyle inspiration.

- Nottingham Forest have become almost a testimonial club where players whose careers have sadly ended due to injury can still pick up a 4 year contract to help steer them into financial security post football.

- Players are inviting injuries through self-nelgect in order to shirk from their duties, to a club that gives them little motivation, meaning or desire to ply their trade.

Just a few thoughts, serious suggestions only please.

Well done for putting us back on topic Igor.

Interesting comment about the wanton use of violence at the club as well that has plagued the team the how many yellow cards can you get in a game under Billy, the abusive treament of Jara that led to his on the pitch sexual assault of another player, Psycho's insistence of kicking everything including the ball as hard and as high as you can and the unsavoury scenes which played out against Hull all because they couldn't score.

Maybe there's some malignant curse surrounding the club or maybe it's just Karma for stealing our two stars.

"...............But the performance of attacking trio Chris O'Grady, Ryan Mendes and Nelson Oliveira was a source of optimism, particularly during the first half."

Talk about glass half-full, (they scored nil at home remember)!

Wellies - shouldn't this thread be titled 'Urgent Inquiry' (ie not 'Enquiry'?

Anyway, Ward is doing OK for us, thanks very much. He looked pretty good when he came on in the second half on Saturday - certainly made our play a bit more dynamic.

He's already missed a few weeks this season with hamstring problems, but we knew that was likely to be the case and it is almost certainly reflected in his wages. Seems like a top bloke. Thanks

I was being poetic sph

What a ing mistake.

You haven't speculated about your yoga-less team's continued ill health though sph.

The main reason is that the top person in the club is a soft touch with no backbone whatsoever. Just sack the manager and leave the players immune, there are no consequences to poor performances so the players don't put in the extra yard in training or forgo the pork pie when not training.

A bit harsh blaming injuries on the chairman.

It's probably more likely to be the case that there's been too much 'inn-questing' by the players. That, and kebabs for afters.
