Cant find the answer can anyone help.
I play my titleist golf ball onto the par three green. My partner plays his srixon also on the green. I lift and mark my ball and place in pocket. As my partner has not walked onto the green yet I lift and mark his also as it is on my putting line. I then go to my marker and put his Srixon down and hole the putt. What are the rules. We are in a medal game. No guesses please.

The only rule I can come up with unfortunately is:
If you play a wrong ball:
• in match play you lose the hole
• in stroke play you incur a two-stroke penalty and must correct the mistake by playing the correct ball (Rule 15-3).
Nothing specific for playing the wrong ball after marking.

O'Reilly was so indispensable to the bureau's operations that President Franklin Delano Roosevelt postponed her retirement, scheduled for 1935, to 1938.
