I guess a big part of the appeal of these kinds of movies is the old film stock and look, adds a level of nostalgia. Modern films just look too clean for me. Everything now has to have some kind of reference and lack originality.

I watched Society again the other day, that last scene is so f-cked up and genius. Maybe I'll give this Bad Biology a look when I'm bored.

Yeah, Society is brilliant. Yuzna is one of the true icons of horror. Even his more generic Return of the Living dead 3 was very watchable.

The last scene of Society like you say is something that will live long in the memory. Can almost imagining that happening in real life with the 'haves'. Perhaps Rooney and LVG are merged right now which is why he keeps getting picked.

Yeah Yuzna's made some great stuff. From Beyond was one I remember seeing as a kid that really freaked me out.

Haven't seen any of the newer stuff, think the most recent I saw was Poultrygeist.

I was almost in Poultrygeist. Went to New York when it was being made and they had adverts in the newspapers for people to be extras on it. As it wasn't a paying role I didn't need a visa. But they were filming the week after I left . almost a (very dubious)claim to fame
