Greatest of all time - Round three

So, Roger Federer has won round two of the Greatest of All Time to join Michael Jordan in the final. There was a great debate over whether Pele deserved his accolades as the greatest footballer of all time, with JukeboxJunkie in particular against him. Tiger Woods and Michael Schumacher both struggled, getting two votes each.

Anyhow, we move on. Quite a few people have criticised the fact that Muhammad Ali has not yet made his appearance, but he joins the fray in this round. However, there is some stiff competition. So competing for your votes for a place in the final are:

5
Usain BOLT (Athletics)
The fastest man of all time, holding the 100m and 200m world records, and winning gold medals in both of these events in both 2008 and 2012.

4
Lionel MESSI (Football)
The greatest footballer of all time? The three-time Ballon D'Or winner is only 28 years of age and at the time of writing, has scored 418 goals in 493 games. He has been the main man in Barcelona's success, winning the Champions League 4 times.

3
Shane Warne (Cricket)
In the previous round we probably had the greatest batsman of all time, now we have the greatest bowler of all time. He had a 15-year career representing Australia taking the 2nd highest number of wickets.

2
Muhammed ALI (Boxing)
An excellent record of 56 wins, and 5 losses, beating all the of his rivals to win titles. The name is known by those who don't know anything about Boxing, because of his attitude outside of the ring and the way he defined the sport.

1
Michael Phelps (Swimming)
From a statistical point of view, he has to be considered as he holds the the record for most Olympic Gold medals at 18, with 11 of them coming individually.

Please vote using the star system as always. There is one more round following this and then we have the final which will have the winner.

Please leave your reasoning for voting in the way that you have.

Why are cricketers even on the list?

A game where you stop for lunch isn't a real sport.

Some of them are as fat and unfit as darts players too.

Agreed. Cyclists have to eat, drink, pi·ss and crap mid-race. Cricketers should be expected to do the same.

I presume Mesut Ozil will be a nominee in this process?

Best creative footballer ever?

Mesut Ozil is a genius, a bit like your name. I really like him. However, I don't think anyone considers Ozil the best footballer of all time, there's only three serious contenders and Ozil isn't one of them.
