Understatement on DCFC twitter:
"A quiet day on the transfer front....."
So, no additions then and the deadwood remain?
((((ponderingimplicationssmiley))))))
No kidding????

It's not a "free" transfer as such, apparently he's really going to be sacrificed, we're just waiting for a full moon and the planets to be in-line using his blood to rejuvenate Roger Davies.

I understand leacock is on high wages but would much prefer to buxton and anderson which the only job they are doing is keeping the physio busy, they both need letting go imo.
Its a shame we havent managed to get rid of a few players because i think we are 2 or 3 players away from becoming a top 6 side that other teams will worry about.

I think anderson when plays does job, but buxton is clearly out of it.
However neither are as good as leacock 'can' be and so only thing really saving them, is their stock as 'clough' players. That being said, I think leacock has lost bit of spirit ad so maybe move is best for both parties.

The last transfer window was our highest in terms of money spent for at least 3 years and in terms of quality way further beyond that. We haven't sold any key players and our net spend clearly places us very near the top of the Championship.
I personally was very angry at the end of the window this time last year. We sold Hulse and I can only remember us signing Bailey and Brayford? This year has been a vast improvement and clearly represents a sensible spend without risking the financial security of the club.
Moaners gonna moan I guess.

The expenditure was covered by the saving on Hulse, Commons and Savage wages plus fees. And Glick said we were going to have a team to challenge for the top 6.
That said, Clough has not prioritised correctly

I don't know about that Chris - 12 points out of a possible 15 currently suggest that he has.
I hope the loan window brings a couple of useful additions however.

You and me both, Kev.
OOE got 1 star for the match report - and you can bet your life that didn't come from a Burnley fan.
