You won't defeat an ideology with bombs unless you kill absolutely no innocent people and destroy no innocent persons home. Otherwise you'll just give the extremists more propaganda fuel.

As people have said cut their funding first of all.
Cut any avenue to propaganda - the UK is far too lax on this.

What's funny is most Europeans don't give a fack about Syrians or Syria. They certainly didn't care when Assad was/is systematically killing them by the thousands.

People only care when there's terrorism on home soil, which honestly I can understand that. It's not "your" problem unless it affects you in some obvious easy to comprehend way.

However people fail to notice that the majority of terror attacks on European soil are by Europeans... by young adults brought up in poor segregated communities on the outskirts of major Europeans cities.

Simply bombing Syria will not change a thing on it's own and will more than likely make things far worse.

The House of Commons will vote for air strikes today... so its a mute point anyway.

But yes, the decision was made ages ago. Whether peer pressure by our allies or Cameron's blinded by power or lobbying by those companies hoping to profit worked, it's all but decided and the vote is just a farce to give it validity.

Who's "them"? If you were to say the terrorists, then I would posit that, while it IS important to stop them, it's equally important to stop the reasons they form up and threaten the West... stop interfering in their countries' affairs, stop selling them arms, stop stealing their resources (and invading under some other pretext to do so), stop their funding...

...or if any of these DO happen, then do it with UN / NATO / [other] backing.

Them are like the film called "THEY LIVE" they are everywhere u can't always spot them which makes them the most dangerous people on the planet.

You cut off the funding they recieve by stopping known bank accounts and targeting known sympathisers and their funding, you target people giving help and refuge to them, you cut off supply of weapons and ammo, food and water, you basically make them pariors and you suffocate them.....

the first step should not be destroy everything and then have a think about step 2....
