He does everything well, but his passing is excellent??


Two seasons ago he played well and was better than Gerrard in that Liverpool side. Since then he hasn't improved and is at a stage where he is unlikely to do so.

So no, he isn't a candidate for Captain

I don't see what problem people have with Henderson. He's the best English midfielder. He might not be fashionable but he does everything well, his passing is excellent, he gets assists, he fights for the team, both in attack and defence, he can run all day, he's tactically excellent. Perhaps people are forgetting how good he is as he's been out for a while.

I wouldnt even have Henderson 'the crab' in the team tbh

If he is fit Henderson is knocking on the door of the starting 11, and depending on what 'Woy' wants to do and how he sets up the team then a number of times he will be in that starting 11, but to say he is the best England midfielder is possibly a stretch, even for the most red tinted of spectacles!

As for Wilshere do you have proof of the drugs or violence he has been convicted of? To my memory his biggest downmark is that he smokes. Don't buy everything you read in the red tops Hoody. And besides, I didn't think card carrying Liverpool fans were allowed to read the Sun?!

He certainly is a candidate for captain, whether you like it or not. Named under 21 Player of the Year for the U21's then captaining them for the following tournament he then stepped up into the senior side and has cemented his place since, whilst being named captain of his club. So yeah he's certainly a candidate.

Don't follow the logic that being U21 captain makes you a better candidate for the captaincy?

Really? You don't follow the logic that being captain of those in your age group, out of all the players in the whole country then captaining your club, with players of all ages, at 25, makes you a better candidate? There's not much I can say to you then.
